# Fees

In order to maintain the service, Hyperyield charges a 10% performance fee. This is only charged on the yield that is collected. This gives you the freedom to use as tight of a range as you want without having to worry about swap fees (minus the usual fees charged by the DEX pools).

# When do fees apply?

Fees are charged only when collecting yield from a pool. This occurs:

1. When manually closing a position with accrued yield.
2. When Hyperyield rebalances a position due to it falling out of range.
